Virtual CEs will be accepted for this renewal period. These do not need to be synchronous courses. On November 21, 2022, the Board of Dentistry (“Board”) voted to extend its blanket waiver allowing for acceptance of all continuing education (“CE”) courses completed through virtual means due to undue hardship from the pandemic, pursuant to Hawaii Administrative Rules (“HAR”) §16-79-147. This exemption will only be applied towards the required CE course hours for the biennial renewal period of January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023.
